You do not have to drive a few hundred kilometers to treat yourself with the most delicious fish and seafood specialties. There is a fantastic tavern & wine bar Tata Mata located in the very center of the city, in Dalmatinska Street.

The restaurant was opened for all lovers of regional dishes and quality wines of Dalmatia in the beautiful and renovated post-war house of the famous Serbian actor and director, Mata Milošević. The top masters of the culinary industry offer excellent food to their guests which will never leave them wanting.

Its interior is tastefully decorated, with not too many or too little sea-related details, just enough to feel like you are sitting on the shores of the Adriatic Sea. A wooden boat with boat lights was made especially for this restaurant in place of the bar, as well as carefully hand-painted carved wooden tables with sea motifs and a flock of birds hangs on the walls instead of paintings. All this makes the ambiance of the Tata Mata Restaurant completely authentic.

Everything in this restaurant is made to please its guests and their desire to feel the smell of the sea and drops of salt on their skin, at least for a moment.

However, the owners of this restaurant did not want their guests to only enjoy fish specialties, so they also included local traditional dishes on their menu. Apart from dishes made of fresh seafood and fish such as octopus Carpaccio, tuna tartar, cod Bianco, there are also Dalmatian Pašticada, polenta lamb, Dalmatian brodet. Drink quality black, white or pink wine while tasting these delicious dishes and friendly waiters are always there to help you with the perfect choice. In the end, try the fantastic apple pie, lava cake or traditional Dalmatian flan.
